I’ve always had a love for organizing, planning and creating events with a distinct theme. In highschool, I would plan summer events for all the kids in the neighborhood with specific theme days, order of events, on theme snacks, and go all out on the decorations. After pursuing a Business and Marketing degree at Purdue and finding myself testing the waters of the corporate and non-profit worlds, I knew the 9-5 cubicle life was not for me. I joined Spell Events in January 2018 after doing planning on my own and for a non-profit for over a year. I quickly fell in love with the wedding world and never looked back! After serving clients and leading the team for years, I officially purchased the company in 2023 and am so excited to officially lead this team of amazing women!

My favorite part of planning is getting to know my clients and craft designs and guest experiences that that feel completely in tune with them as a couple. There’s nothing greater than seeing a design come to life on wedding day and the couple so obsessed with all of the details! My family is everything and you’ll often catch me on a Saturday off wandering the Tomball Farmer’s Market with my husband Matt and two girls or in the kitchen cooking one of my grandma’s recipes from scratch.

Hi! I’m Rachel, and I am so blessed to be a part of the Spell Events team! I started planning weddings after interning with Spell, and I couldn’t be happier with the work I get to do. I love getting to know my couples on a more personal level and connecting with them in a way that helps me execute their dream wedding. I’m a huge fan of the small details and keeping everyone and everything organized through the wedding chaos. Being a type A personality, nothing will get missed, and my clients can relax and enjoy their special day.
When I’m not planning weddings, you can find me catching up on a good book, spending time with my husband and our dog, Ollie, or visiting a new coffee shop.

Hello! I’m Shelby, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Spell Team! As a southwest Florida native, I grew up with a love for all things that bring warmth and happiness. Florida will always be home, but I’m finding a new love for Texas and all the amazing things it has to offer (mainly the food). I thrive off organization, so from personal details to major design elements, I will ensure your vision is met. My favorite moment of wedding day is listening to the couple express their love and admiration for each other in front of their most cherished friends and family. I am honored to be a small part of one of the best days of your life!
On my free weekends, you can find me either at my son’s baseball games, baking in our kitchen, or just simply soaking up family time with my husband and our children.

After graduating from The University of Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns!) and pursuing a career in advertising, I decided to take a chance and make a pivot. I can’t think of anything better than being in the business of celebrating people! I am most myself when getting to connect with couples and creating a day that reflects them most. I love visualizing all the little details and watching it all come together. Watching the bride and groom smile all day makes me smile and is my favorite part of being there on their best day so far.
When I am not planning weddings, you can find me taking a spin class or with a strawberry mimosa in my hand surrounded by friends at Hungrys in Rice Village! I'm begging you to ask me about my favorite Brunch spots in Houston!
