Celebrations have been my favorite part of life for as long as I can remember, and the thread of curating events has woven its way through every season of it. From themed summer parties for the neighborhood kids as a teen to managing and producing large scale non profit events, to eventually making my way into weddings and corporate events, somewhere along the way, I realized I’ve never met a party I didn’t like.

My family is everything and you’ll often catch me on a Saturday off wandering the Tomball Farmer’s Market with my husband Matt and three kids or in the kitchen cooking one of my grandma’s recipes from scratch.

My approach to design and planning is largely informed by my travels throughout the globe and I'm endlessly inspired by how people everywhere bring together color, taste, scent, and visual design. That appreciation is exactly why I love getting to know my couples on a personal level. Hearing where they grew up, how they fell in love, their favorite date-night spot, the colors they’re drawn to, and the inside jokes they share with their families shapes the wedding design and vendor team I build for them. My goal is for every guest to leave saying, “That wedding was SO them!”
After graduating from The University of Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns!) and pursuing a career in advertising, I decided to take a chance and make a pivot. I can’t think of anything better than being in the business of celebrating people! I am most myself when getting to connect with couples and creating a day that reflects them most. I love visualizing all the little details and watching it all come together. Watching the bride and groom smile all day makes me smile and is my favorite part of being there on their best day so far.
When I am not planning weddings, you can find me taking a spin class or with a strawberry mimosa in my hand surrounded by friends at Hungrys in Rice Village! I'm begging you to ask me about my favorite Brunch spots in Houston!

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE a reason to celebrate! I’m the girl who loves making the plans, organizing all the details, and making sure everyone is having the best time. Hosting people and making them feel welcome is my love language, so it’s really no surprise that I ended up in the wedding industry! I’ve always been a romantic at heart and love getting to be part of a job that celebrates love and brings people together.
I started assisting with weddings at 18 and was planning weddings of my own by 20 while finishing my marketing degree at the University of Houston. After graduation, I spent two years at a country club planning everything from weddings to corporate events, but weddings have always had my heart! I love getting to know my couples, bringing their vision to life, and making sure every guest feels welcomed and taken care of. To me, it’s about more than a beautiful wedding; it’s about creating an experience that feels uniquely them and gives their favorite people a reason to celebrate!

Hi! I’m Kate, and I’m so excited to be part of the Spell Events team! I grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2023 (Woo Pig!). Before finding my way into weddings, I worked in corporate events and the nonprofit world, where I fell in love with bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. My passion for event planning naturally led me into the wedding world, and I quickly knew it was where I belonged! Now, as a full-time Planner, I love getting to know my couples, bringing their visions to life, and making sure all the little details come together to create a wedding that feels completely them.

I’m also a huge fan of destination weddings and will happily take any excuse to combine two of my favorite things: travel and celebrating love. Hello! I’m Shelby, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Spell Team! As a southwest Florida native, I grew up with a love for all things that bring warmth and happiness. Florida will always be home, but I’m finding a new love for Texas and all the amazing things it has to offer (mainly the food). I thrive off organization, so from personal details to major design elements, I will ensure your vision is met. My favorite moment of wedding day is listening to the couple express their love and admiration for each other in front of their most cherished friends and family. I am honored to be a small part of one of the best days of your life!
On my free weekends, you can find me either at my son’s baseball games, baking in our kitchen, or just simply soaking up family time with my husband and our children.
